Design Commission: A multi-functional community hub located within a large open floor plan of a former light-industrial building near downtown Kansas City.
The space must combine: co-working, food and beverage, one additional community-focused service. All three elements must operate as one cohesive destination. Your proposal should thoughtfully respond to Kansas City’s cultural identity, climate, and urban character.
A sculptural fountain anchors the space, inspired by Kansas City’s fountain heritage and interpreted through a Beaux-Arts lens.
Designed as a central gathering point and visual landmark.
